Professor Surinder Singh (Saranda)

Professor Surinder Singh is a Professor of musicology at Thames Valley University and the Director of Raj Academy Conservatoire. He has dedicated all of his life to Guru's Kirtan, Guru's Way with Guru's Instruments. His main focus is to re-establish the missing link between Kirtan and the human psyche. Believing that Kirtan is the birthright and a compulsory methodology for every Sikh, Professor Surinder Singh architected the Gurmat Sangeet Outreach program with the support of his academic and professional staff. 
Professor Surinder Singh and his team are dedicated to work on researching and publishing the unhidden secrets of Guru Granth Sahib. Learn more about Professor Surinder Singh and his contributions towards the revival of Gurmat Sangeet.

Surjeet Singh Aulakh (Sarangi)

Surjeet Singh Aulakh's technical mastery of playing string instruments, along with the richness of his musical ideas and his traditional approach to teaching has won him admiration throughout the world. His large repertoire of khayal and thumris makes a deep impact on the adept and uninitiated listener alike. 

Surjeet is a senior disciple of Pandit Ram Narayan. Living and breathing music since his childhood, Surjeet's musical gift allows him to share musical knowledge with students in a very simple and effective manner. Currently, Surjeet Singh is a lecturer at Thames Valley University in London, UK.

Ranbir Singh (Taus)

Ranbir' s unique style to play Taus once again has created hope to revive this rare instrument of Sikhs. Ranbir is gifted in rendering Dhrupad to Khyal, and traditional folk music of North India. He is a very fluent expressionist in all styles of Sikh Music. Ranbir is keeping the Taus alive as a solo and accompanying instrument worldwide with a very professional approach. 

An outgoing and joyful personality, Ranbir Singh is well known for his unique teaching style. Currently, Ranbir Singh is a lecturer at Raj Academy Conservatoire in London, UK.

Jasvir Kaur (Rabab)

Jasvir Kaur is the manager of Raj Academy Conservatoire and is head of the Rabab Department. She has achieved her B.Mus in Gurmat Sangeet and post-graduation in Naad Yoga from Thames Valley University and Raj Academy Conservatoire. She has dedicated her whole life to Guru's Kirtan and reaching out to the people who love their Guru.


Hari Amrit Kaur (Saranda)

Hari Amrit Kaur is the Course Administrator for the Gurmat Sangeet Outreach course. She has dedicated her life in service to Guru's Kirtan with her Saranda. Originating from Germany, she graduated from Thames Valley University with a B.Mus in Gurmat Sangeet and MA in Naad Yoga.


Amanroop Kaur (Sarangi)

Amanroop Kaur loves to work with kids who want to sing Guru's Bani with Guru's instruments. Graduating in Gurmat Sangeet from Thames Valley University under the guidance of Raj Academy Conservatoire, she is one of the few who also have a Masters Degree in the field of sound and health. Amanroop is the head of curriculum and development. 

Jasdeep Singh (Dilruba)

Jasdeep Singh is a lecturer at Thames Valley University for the Gurmat Sangeet courses of Raj Academy Conservatoire. He is an extremely knowledgeable teacher offering great inspiration to students of Gurmat Sangeet. He has completed his B.Tech National Diploma in Gurmat Sangeet with Raj Academy and East Berkshire College, B.Mus and a Masters Degree in Gurmat Sangeet with Thames Valley University. 

Rajinder Kaur (Saranda)

Rajinder Kaur is graduating from Thames Valley University in Gurmat Sangeet degree and is a very promising student of Raj Academy Conservatoire. Now, she is teaching on Gurmat Sangeet Outreach program, sharing her passion for Guru's Kirtan with others and contributing to revive the rich heritage of Sikh Music. 

Narinderjit Singh (Jori)

Narinderjit Singh is a disciple of Pandit Shardha Sahai. He brings his personal experience with Jori to establish the rhythm of life by playing and understanding the rhythmic patterns on the Jori. Based in Birmingham, UK, he practices pharmacy and devoted his life to Jori as a teacher and Kirtaniya. 

Karanjeet Singh (Rabab) - Manager GSO, Canada

A student of Raj Academy Conservatoire, driven through passion to promote Gurmat Sangeet in Canada, Karanjeet Singh is a dedicated soul devoting part of his life to Guru's Kirtan with Rabab. He manages the educational hub in Canada for Gurmat Sangeet Outreach. Having completed his studies in Airspace Engineering, Karanjeet is learning Kirtan with Rabab under Gurmat Sangeet Outreach. 

Pritam Pal Singh Rishi (Dilruba) - Manager GSO, USA

Pritam Pal Singh Rishi is a student of Raj Academy Conservatoire and senior organizer of Guru Angad Institute. Pritam Singh has served in the Indian Airforce for over 30 years. Mr. Rishi inspires us all, as despite having no previous background in music, he is learning Dilruba under Gurmat Sangeet Outreach and has become an inspiration to many senior members in the local community. 

Sher Singh (Saranda) - Assistance, USA & Canada

Sher Singh is the executive director of Guru Angad Institute of Sikh Studies in Sterling, Virginia. The institute is the main hub through which students in the Washington D.C. area learn Gurmat Sangeet with the traditional string instruments of the Gurus. Sher Singh is a student of Raj Academy Conservatoire, London. He is currently heading the mission of reviving Gurmat Sangeet in United States. 

Preetinder Singh Dhindsa (Taus) - Assistance, USA & Canada

Preetinder is a senior student of Taus from Guru Angad Institute of Sikh Studies, Virginia. He is studying Kirtan with Taus under the Gurmat Sangeet Outreach Program. Preetinder is an upcoming, promising teacher in the field of Gurmat Sangeet and is receiving his teacher training under Raj Academy Conservatoire, London. 

Navjot Sagoo (Jori) - Assistance, USA & Canada

Navjot Singh is a student of Jori from Guru Angad Institute of Sikh Studies, Virginia. He is learning Sikh Music through the teacher training program under the Raj Academy. In addition to Jori, Navjot Singh is studying Dilruba as a student in Gurmat Sangeet Outreach.
